I have a little time before I have to go to work, so I just wanted to write down some things since I never seem to find time to write in my journal anymore...
I always thought summer was my favorite season, but with how pretty it has been lately and seeing the colors change in the mountains, maybe I like fall better. Summer can be too hot sometimes, but in the beginning of the fall you just need a jacket, and the leaves are going to be SO pretty in a couple more weeks. I can't wait to go on walks through them and play in them with Russ. :) Also, fall wouldn't be as pretty if it weren't for the mountains. I love Utah (until it gets cold, then I will probably not like it)
Friday afternoons are great because I get home around noon and then have about 4 1/2 hours to get homework worked on before Russ gets home from work. Well, today I accidently took a 2 1/2 hour nap, during which I had a dream that Russ and I had a baby. Except it was weird. She never cried - so consequently I thought she was dying because I realized I couldn't remember ever changing her diaper or feeding her, but I wasn't worried about it because she was so happy and content. The weird part was that sometimes she would be a baby and sometimes a doll and one time I went in to wake her up from a nap and she was a doll so I had to "put her skin on" to make her a real baby again. Super gross - it was like a rubber chicken or something (you could see the veins in her legs and the skinless head was black???), but I wasn't alarmed by that either. Russ and I had just moved into his parents' house (which wasn't really their house but it was...you know how dreams are) and so I was trying to figure out how I would have time to take care of the baby and the vegetable garden and the dog we had inherited from them.
But even though this dream was SO strange and made no sense at all, it felt really good to have a baby and to know that Russ was my husband. It made me really exited for the life-changing events the Holdens and the Killions have coming up as their daughters are born.
Also life-changing is that my roommate from Jerusalem, Elise, got engaged last night. I am SO excited for her! She is so much fun, and she helped me A LOT with addressing my wedding announcements so I have a feeling I know what I'll be doing around the middle of October :) But she is so cute, I just hope I can convince her to move into our complex so that I don't have to go to Relief Society alone!! :D
